About Me

A man stands in front of a barn and metal cowboy and horse silhouettes under a clear blue sky.

My Path (for detailed story, see blog)

I have been on the spiritual path for over 50 years, exploring various teachings from Gurdjieffian esoteric school to Transcendental Meditation, The Summit Lighthouse, the Hearts Center, and finally Parabhakti Yoga, which I consider the surest and quickest way to achieve union with the Divine. Throughout my journey, I have also delved into metaphysical nonfiction, documenting my experiences and insights.

In 2003, I began gazing at the rising and setting sun as an alternative therapy for my chronic lymphocytic leukemia. To my surprise, I discovered that this practice brought mental and emotional benefits that seemed to elevate my consciousness. As a writer, I had previously experienced inspired writing from muses, but after I began sungazing, I felt compelled to document my experiences. This led me to research the topic further and explore others’ experiences, culminating in the creation of my spiritual book: The SOLution: Laying the Foundation for a Solar Civilization. Some of my writings took the form of songs, and I composed three hymns, inspired by Pallas Athena and two cosmic beings associated with the sun, Helios and Vesta.

In 2007, I participated in an online course led by the leaders of two spiritual organizations: The Hearts Center and The Ideal Society. A key aspect of the course involved sungazing followed by gazing upon a darshan photo of Omraam Mikhail Aivanhov, inviting him to communicate a message. Having passed away in 1986, Omraam is now recognized as an ascended master, known for his silent communication during his life, which continues through his darshan photo. For over a month, I received daily messages from Omraam, which I diligently documented. One profound message revealed that I was a priest of Aten in ancient Egypt, who would gaze at the sun during three sacred moments: sunrise, high noon, and sunset, referred to as “the gates of heaven.” Intrigued, I later googled “gates of heaven” and confirmed that it was indeed a practice of sun worship in ancient Egypt. These experiences affirmed my belief that I was genuinely receiving darshan messages from Omraam. I continued to invite his guidance beyond the course, and through my dedication to sungazing, I healed not only from leukemia but also two other health conditions. Inspired by ascended masters and deities, I have written over 12 spiritual books in the past decade, including works that reflect my journey and insights as a seeker on the path.

I primarily write metaphysical nonfiction and a selection of spiritual romance and children's short stories. All of my writing is divinely inspired, making the Divine Mother the true author of my books; I merely serve as her instrument. The inspired writings I receive, which I refer to as flows, are the result of stimulating the pineal-pituitary-hypothalamus complex in the hollow between the two brain hemispheres, known as the crystal chalice. This is where the third eye and third ear energy centers reside, enabling us to perceive beings of light. At the onset of the COVID crisis, I utilized my extra time to meditate each morning using a powerful technique called The Way, which stimulated the crystal chalice. This practice allowed me to give daily flows for over four months on various spiritual topics. Most of these writings were compiled into a book, The Elixir of Immortality: How to Become One with the Divine. The elixir is DMT, also referred to as amrita or the nectar of the gods. In May of 2021, I discovered another method that not only stimulates the energy centers in the brain but also invigorates all other energy centers, particularly at the base of the spine, awakening the kundalini and enhancing the heart's magnetic field. Consequently, I began receiving flows from the highest source, the Divine Mother, in her many manifestations such as Durga, Saraswati, Lakshmi, and often, Lalita Tripura Sundari. The most significant of these flows were compiled into a book, God Is Mother Too: How to Reconnect with the Divine Feminine within Us, which includes stories of my experiences with physical representatives of the Divine Mother who guided me on my spiritual journey and the miracles she has brought into my life. I chronicled these experiences, along with the magical synchronicities, events, and blessings, in a romance novel titled A Divine Love Affair. I chose to present some of these truths through fiction, as certain experiences may seem unbelievable and are more easily embraced in that format. You will also find blogs here that are flows inspired by various goddess archetypes of the Divine Mother, including the pivotal blog, The Ritual of At-One-Ment with the Divine Father/Mother. I make these available to offer hope and comfort during these challenging times. Additionally, I wrote a book inspired by John the Revelator, titled 2034 Apocalypse: How to Prepare for the Coming Tribulation. This is not a doomsday book, but rather a guide heralding the golden age and how to prepare for it. The Wonderful Wisdom of Oz offers a total experience (body, mind, and heart) of the life-transforming spiritual teachings found in the story of Dorothy’s journey along the yellow brick road, making it a unique entry in the realm of metaphysical nonfiction. Wayne Purdin, a renowned authority on L. Frank Baum and his works, is a theosophist, metaphysical author, surya yoga teacher, and meditation instructor who expertly weaves spiritual insights throughout the narrative. Through his engaging approach, which includes humor, movement, sungazing, meditation, and reflective journaling, he provides an enlightening experience that will both entertain and educate you. You will gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual symbolism present in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and develop an appreciation for its timeless universal truths that transcend culture. Key themes explored include the purification of Dorothy’s ego or shadow self, represented by the wicked witches; the protection and guidance of her Higher Self, symbolized by the two good witches; and the development and balancing of her threefold flame of love, wisdom, and power, depicted by the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Lion. Additionally, this compelling spiritual book will lead you to discover answers to pivotal questions, such as: What’s the connection between Baum’s works, the early Women’s Rights Movement, and Theosophy? How is Dorothy’s adventure reminiscent of a near-death experience? What do poppy fields and flying monkeys share in common? What does the Wicked Witch of the West represent, and why is the water that dissolves her so significant? Who or what is the Wizard in our lives today?

In '2034 Apocalypse: How to Survive the Coming Tribulation', it becomes clear that we are living in the last days, with the tribulation set to begin before the ten thousand years of peace. This prediction is supported by various biblical prophecies, insights from saints, teachings from four other religions, and even the forecasts of psychics, astrologers, and scientists. All signs point to 2034 as the year of the apocalypse, heralding the victory of light over darkness. However, this isn't just another doom and gloom narrative; it delves into the little-known Prophecy of the New Era, shared by the Bulgarian mystic Beinsa Douno (Peter Deunov) on his deathbed, offering a hopeful vision of our future post-apocalypse. Additionally, this metaphysical nonfiction book includes valuable chapters on survival tips, relevant spiritual books, and resources, ensuring that we are equipped to witness that brighter future. The insights and guidance offered by Wayne Purdin and others in this book could very well save your life.

Addictions, bad habits, and obsessive thoughts and feelings are destroying our country at an alarming rate. Among Americans aged 12 and older, 62.8% consume alcohol, with 10.6% classified as alcoholics. Additionally, 17% struggle with drug addiction. A staggering 66% take prescription medications daily, with 6.7 billion prescriptions issued in 2022, marking a 70% increase from 3.95 billion in 2009. Almost 42% of the population is obese, a figure that has tripled over the past 60 years. One in three women and one in four men experience abuse from an intimate partner. Over 8% identify as sex addicts, and 40 million regularly access pornographic websites. Among adults aged 18 and older, 8% face depression, while 15% of youths aged 12 to 17 experience major depressive episodes. Furthermore, 40 million Americans suffer from anxiety disorders, a rise from 17 million in 2008. Unfortunately, governments, the medical establishment, and pharmaceutical companies often exacerbate these issues rather than alleviate them. Traditional religions seem to provide little relief; although worship attendance has remained steady over the last several decades, the percentage of Americans grappling with addictions and obsessions has consistently increased. However, not all is hopeless. There is a way out of this dilemma, as outlined in the metaphysical nonfiction realm. We possess the power to liberate ourselves from the nine psychic poisons or negative energies that contribute to these addictions and obsessions. By applying the antidotes, utilizing our energies constructively, leading a sattvic (pure) life, and sometimes following a 12-step program, individuals can find healing. This book, inspired by spiritual books and concepts from Wayne Purdin, will guide you on how to achieve this transformation.

From time immemorial, people have gazed upon the sun in awe and wonder. The initiates and masters of old taught them that the sun was but a reflection of the Spiritual Sun that created and sustains the material universe. The physical sun serves as a door that opens to this realm of the Solar Presence. By entering in, one becomes transformed through contact with the Source of power, wisdom, and love. In the metaphysical nonfiction book, The SOLution: Laying the Foundation for a Solar Civilization, the teachings of modern teachers like Sunyogi Umasankar, Gene Savoy, and Hira Ratan Manek are explained, presenting a simple, safe practice of sungazing along with other techniques that have been proven to heal the mind, emotions, and body, as experienced by the author who overcame cancer. Readers can explore what modern science has to say about the healing properties of sunlight while delving into the spiritual books that share the teachings of nine great masters of ancient solar science: Viracocha, Serapis Bey, Pythagoras, Akhenaton, Zarathustra, Moses, Solomon, Jesus, and Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov. These teachings reveal why all golden age civilizations revered the sun. Discover how amrita, the elixir of immortality, can be produced in the brain and the beneficial effects it has on the body, mind, and emotions. Is physical immortality impossible? After reading the chapters on the Deathless Solar Body and the Alchemy of Transfiguration, you may find yourself reconsidering. Finally, shake off the doom and gloom about the future by going Into the Heart of the Sun to become a sun. Sungazing truly is the SOLution that will heal personal and planetary problems.

Pharaoh of the Sun: Akhenaten and the Culture of Love is a captivating three-part love story that can also be seen through the lens of metaphysical nonfiction. It begins with the passionate love between Akhenaten and Nefertiti, which faces challenges when Akhenaten is compelled to marry the alluring Princess Tadukhepa. The narrative deepens as Akhenaten's love for the Aten—the sun disk that speaks to his heart—reveals his fiery devotion to his one true God. This devotion brings him into conflict with the powerful priesthood of Amen-Ra and the treacherous high priest, Meryptah. Ultimately, Akhenaten's love extends to his people and all nations as he establishes a mystery school, inspired by his spiritual vision and the teachings found in spiritual books. He is supported in this mission by his beloved Nefertiti, MeryRa, the high priest of Aten, and his vizier Nakhtpaaten, also known as Joseph, son of Jacob. This story, much like the works of Wayne Purdin, explores the intersections of love, spirituality, and leadership.

Near Death Experiences: 10 Fascinating Facts about Beyond-Death NDEs

Prior to the 1970s, reports of Near Death Experiences (NDEs) were often dismissed as mere old wives' tales. However, with the advancement of resuscitation techniques globally, the number of NDE reports began to rise significantly. Influential figures like Kubler Ross and DL Moody helped to unlock a deep-seated interest in a topic that had been considered taboo for centuries. By 1992, a Gallup poll indicated that 5% of the American public acknowledged having experienced an NDE at some point in their lives. This phenomenon quickly became the focus of social, medical, and scientific studies, first in the United States and then around the world. Many of these studies reported findings consistent with or exceeding the 5% figure from the Gallup poll. With a global population now at 7.3 billion, this suggests that around 365 million people have survived a near death experience. Furthermore, indications show that the percentages of NDEs may be increasing, thanks to advancements in medical technology and other factors. Beyond the sheer magnitude of this phenomenon, one of the most intriguing aspects noted in these studies is the commonality of experiences among survivors, regardless of their ethnic, cultural, or religious backgrounds. For instance, a majority of participants reported a lasting loss of fear regarding death. Additionally, many described their experiences as transformational, profoundly impacting not only their own lives but also the lives of those around them. In this metaphysical nonfiction book, I delve into the vast scope of the NDE phenomenon, its historical context, and the universal nature of these experiences. Finally, I examine the implications of this growing phenomenon on our rapidly evolving world, as explored in the spiritual books of Wayne Purdin.
